Look!
Someone is very proud!
It may be hard to tell, what with the adult teeth already well in, but Ellie lost her first tooth today! It’s been a battle. We discovered her adult teeth coming in about 3 weeks ago and she refused to mess with the baby ones. They were barely loose! I think they finally got really loose from her eating and brushing her teeth, when I took the opportunity to wiggle them a lot. Finally this morning I convinced her to let me mess with it a bit and I, gently, yanked the first out. She’s so proud now! It’s hilarious. But now we have to get that other one out.
Yes, I cried a little. My baby girl is growing up!!! *sniff*

Updates on the home-front
Seems like I haven’t done a baby update lately. Here are a couple of pictures my SIL took of Wesley this weekend.

Gosh, it’s so hard to believe he’ll be 10-months-old soon. Where does the time go? He’s learning new things so quickly now. He’s crawling, cruising around (i.e. walking) holding on to couches, chairs and tables, he talks, he waves. Just as it was with Ellie, he does something new and fascinating every day. I wish you could hear him say “Hey derrrrrr!” It’s so cute!!! Maybe I’ll video it sometime…
In book news, the latest in the Fables series entered my house yesterday. It’s huge!!! I can’t to jump in!

Mother's Day
(would you look at those eyes? Oh my goodness!)
was a few days ago. I’ve been meaning to post about it for DAYS now, but I just haven’t had a chance. Busy, busy, busy.
But it was a lovely day. We had a cookout for all the family and even though it was rainy and slightly cold, it was still a lot of fun. Since my camera counts as part of my Mother’s Day present, all I got were some very lovely, and hard to kill, flowers.
To add to the days’ excitement, Wesley, newly 8 months, decided to learn a new trick and pulled himself to his feet for the first time. Watch out world, booger wants to walk! Yikes!
And yes, I do call him Booger. What of it?

Playing Around!
I did get a few minutes this weekend to play with my new flash. My house is so dark, it really helped to brighten things up a bit! I guess that’s what you get for living in an 80 year old house!

Squeee!
I am so excited! As you may have noticed, I love taking pictures. Earlier this year I got a brand spankin’ new Nikon D40x now my ‘fourth’ baby (Ellie, Wesley and hubby beind the other three. Wink.) I have two fantastic lens. And I’ve probably already taken over 1,000 pictures since I got it.
There was only one thing lacking. I really wanted a speedlight, which is another flash that is separate from the camera. Unfortunately for me, they are right expensive and I’d already used most of our extra money (i.e. the tax return) to get my camera. But, lo and behold, when I checked my email Tuesday I had a blessing from Amazon. Which are few and far between, but oh well. Amazon is being “nice” and giving $50 is store credit to customers who bought an HD DVD player before the end of February. Since we had bought two HD DVD players (one for us and one for my MIL for Christmas) we got $100. Then Wednesday, my boss up and gave me a $25 gift certificate. So I had $125 in credit!! I begged the hubby and he agreed. My speedlight will be here Tuesday and I am BEYOND excited!!!!
Of course, you know what that means for you guys, right? Lots more baby pictures!!! Woot!!
