I can’t wait!!! What books are you most looking forward to this year?

Ooh! The Neil Gaiman was on my list too of course. I didn’t know there was an Audrey Niffenegger though! It seems like an interesting story.
I know! I can’t wait to read it. Even though I was disappointed with Her Fearful Symmetry, she’s still one of my favorite authors.
F@$#!!!!! You had to do this post didn’t you :p I had no idea there was new Audrey Niffenegger this year!!!!!! OMG I am so excited now!!!! And the new Holly Black sounds amazing too!! May 7th is going to be an amazing day
And it’s four days before my bday! Happy bday to me
You started it! LOL
I’m planning to read Level 2 as well, I don’t know Lenore personally but I’ve visited her blog a few times, the story sounds great, and reading a book by a book blogger just feels right. I’d like to start reading Gaiman, my knowledge of his work is currently limited to what others have written about it.
Agreed. Have to support our fellow bloggers, right?
You must read Gaiman. Start anywhere; they are all fantastic!
Thanks for including LEVEL 2! This is also the 1st time I’ve heard of Audrey’s new book — how exciting!!!!
I have been anxious to read Level 2 ever since you announced you sold it. I can’t wait!
I’ve heard so many good things about Susanna Kearsly that I just scooped up four of her e-books on sale. Can’t wait to get a chance to read them!
I absolutely stinking HATE I missed that day of the sale. I didn’t read the email until the next morning. Ugh!
I’m excited about Lenore’s book too! Did you know she’s coming to Asheville in February. I’ll be going to her event – maybe you can make it too?! Let me know if you want details.
Not until you told me! I’m still trying to work out how I can get there. I really really really want to go!
That Neil Gaiman book – ooh, can’t wait either. And Scarlet – so excited for that too since I loved Cinder!
Me too! I can’t wait to see what she does with Red Riding Hood.
Chris informed me that there’s a new Mary Roach coming out in April. Along with the Gaiman. I’m ready to fast forward to April!
I forgot about the Mary Roach. Course, I’ve only read Stiff. I need to read the others; I do enjoy her “unique” style!
This is fun! I want to read most of those and have to look up the other ones! (My copy of LEVEL 2 supposedly shipped!!!)
Cool! I’m going to wait to see if I can go see Lenore in February before buying a copy. If I can’t make it, Kathy offered to get me a signed copy. I JUST HOPE I CAN GO!!!!!
I am so excited for Gaiman’s new novel!
You have a lot of great-looking books on this list. I’m going to have to check a few of them out for myself and see if they’re something I’d like to add to my to-buy list.
Yes, do! I can’t wait for Gaiman’s books. All of them; he has several coming out this year.
Oh really? How was I not aware of this before now? Thanks for the heads up!
Ooh, theres a new Audrey Niffenegger book! *puts on wishlist*
I know!!! Eeeee!!!! *happy dance*
We have a lot in common! Shaun Tan! Yes.
There are so many books on here I want to read! Especially The Raven Girl. Happy New Year!
I was just telling Chris that I feel a bit lame because I don’t keep up with new releases. But good thing YOU guys do!!
The Gaiman one looks absolutely gorgeous (judging from the cover of course).
Happy New Year dear Heather!!
I’m looking forward to Gaiman’s novel, too. And oooh I didn’t know Margo Lanagan had a new book coming out, too. AND Susanna Kearsley? So many great books.. all the time. Can’t keep up.
Well, I guess I’ll just be adding every single one of these to my wishlist.
My favorite part of this post? The jazz hands
I want to read Lenore’s book, too! I hope I get to this year. I am going to go check out now the ones on your list I didn’t know about. I hope your reading year is as good as it looks like it will be!
I almost hesitate to mention that I have read a couple of those already (Lost Art of Mixing oh, and…. The Firebird). Almost, but not quite.
Loved, loved The Firebird! I have already started asking her when we can expect the next book! Poor woman.
Firebird, Level 2 and Scarlet are all on my list, also, but my #1 most anticipated novel is The Illusion of Separateness by Simon Van Booy. His website says it’s due for release in July but I thought I saw a comment saying it’ll be out in May. Either way, I’m chomping at the bit. Cannot wait to read another Simon book.
