Writing Meme…

writing.jpgAndi, over at Tripping Toward Lucidity, tagged me with this tasty little meme.

“What’s Your Favorite Type of Writing?” And I should mention, your favorite type of writing to do as opposed to your favorite type of writing to read.

I have thought on this for the last 12 hours and the more I thought on it the easier the answer was for me. I don’t write as much as I used too, but when I do write, I loev to write fiction. I wrote quite a bit when I was in college and one of my regrets is that I did not take a creative writing course while there. Alas, I’m too shy. I used to write quite a bit of fan fiction, which I will not share ;) , for fun and practice. And I hate admiting that, but there it is.

I remember when I was younger, around the 7-13 age range, everytime I saw a freshly sharpened pencil I just itched to put it to paper. In a way, I’m still like that now, even though I prefer to write on the computer now. There’s just something so tempting about a fresh blank page and a freshly sharpened pencil. Hmm…the smell of graphite…

I have one YA novel on the go and a short story that has fallen by the wayside. As it the time comes closer for the new baby to get here, I am realizing I’m going to have to learn how to prioritize a little better so that I will have more time to write. I miss doing it. I’m not all that great, I know, but it’s fun.

Now… who to tag… I think I’ll tag Nancy (Bookfool) and Iliana (Bookgirl).
