Pin It and Do It Challenge – Shrimp

So, I tried this pin Wednesday night. And stupid me FORGOT TO TAKE PICTURES.

It looked an awful lot like this:

Shrimp from Pinterest

It’s a very simple recipe too. And oh, so, yummy.

Melt a stick of butter in the pan. Slice one lemon and layer it on top of the butter. Put down fresh shrimp, then sprinkle one pack of dried Italian seasoning. Put in the oven and bake at 350 for 15 min.

That’s it!

SO SIMPLE. AND DELICIOUS. I actually changed it up a bit though. I did half of it this way. The other half, I used lime juice and chipotle seasoning. The lime/chipotle was actually much more tastier. I think next time I’m going to do it all that way. And I’m going to make more. I didn’t take into account just how much the girl loves shrimp! It was all gone! And we wanted MORE. This is a keeper. Yay!

    Yum! Looks delicious!

  2. I was looking at this recipe a while back because Di and I love us some shrimp but the full stick of butter freaked me out. Did you find it especially…i don't know, *buttery* for lack of better words? Do you think that I could get away with only half a stick??

If my son liked prawns I would cook them more regularly because I love them! These look really, really tasty and you could really change the flavours up in so many different ways.

I saw this one too and worried about the butter :( We've managed to put on a few pounds over the semester of madness (spring), so I wonder if 1/2 stick would be ok as well?

With a small enough pan, I think so. You mainly want it to give the shrimp something to cook in. Drain it once you take it out and I think it would be fine. I didn't mind all the butter! lol

  8. Mmmmmm . . . can I come over for dinner? ;)
