Thank you!

frozen_library_book_0560.jpgfor all the help with the book dilemma!  I stuck it in the freezer last night, for I’m lazy and still semi-sick, and will take it out tonight to see how it smells.  If that doesn’t work I’m going to try the baking soda.  I’m all for buying another copy, but there are so many other books I could buy with that money!

Will have to find a bag that a 1400+ page book will fit into! :)

Since the Count was in deep freeze last night, which is a shame as he was about to be arrested, I picked up The Game of Kings by Dorothy Dunnett to amuse myself.  What a densely written, intriguing story!  And I’m only 26 pages into it!  I’m thinking I may have to invest in the Dorothy Dunnett Companion book.  I can see why readers who love it, love it so much.  Our hero is something else!  I hope I can get into it well enough to continue.  I think I’m in a semi-reading-slump as I am finding little motivation to pick up anything lately.   Just can’t concentrate on anything.  I may have to pick up an old-faithful; Twilight, The Princess Bride, or perhaps some Harry Potter.  Been meaning to reread the boy wizard anyway in anticipation of Book 7.

  1. I'm due for a Potter re-read myself. Probably book 6 since I blew through it so fast I hardly remember anything!

Oh, and I finally watched 2 episodes of Bones. LOVE IT!

  2. SQUEALS!!!! OMG Did you really? I am SO in love with Bones. SO in love. Which two did you see?

I'm thinking if I read about one book a month, hopefully book 7 will be out by the time I finished 6. Hopefully. I can barely wait yet don't want it to be over either!

  3. I say go for Twilight (which I just finished a few days ago and LOVED IT) or some Harry Potter – always puts me in a good reading mood!
I will be writing a review of Twilight (and New Moon since I just had to get that out of the library) next week!

  4. Heatheroo, the first one was an episode featuring Eps or whatever his name is–the serial killer. The one where they found out he'd gotten married and he had an accomplice doing his work outside the prison.

The other one was the Christmas episode where they got quarantined because of the airborn mold. Fabulous episode.

Love Booth. Love him! David Boreanaz is hotttt.

  5. Look forward to seeing how the book drama turns out! At least you didn't drop it in the toilet…things could be worse!

  6. Heather, I just got Twilight in the post yesterday. I finally succumbed but now it's staring at me and it has to wait, just a bit!

As for Harry, I decided to wait until she hands in the manuscript and they announce the publication date, then I'm planning to reread all of them – I've actually never reread them, I've been waiting for this year! :)

  7. A Wrinkle in Time just saved me from my slump! I suggest Potter would be a good choice…I am hoping that once the 7th and last story is released that they will print a fancy set and I can purchase that and finally read them all in a row!

  8. Ah yes, Eps. He's coming back in the next new episode. He's been on a few times. Horrible guy. And I love that Christmas episode. They've done a really good job of slowly revealing things about the characters on this show. Excellent character development. And I sooooooooo lurve David. He is way hot.

Carl, LOL, yes, it could be worse!

Nat! YAY!! Oh I do hope you like it! I'm tempted to wait until she hands in the manuscript as well, or just read extra slowly. I hope it's soon!

Heather, I need to reread A Wrinkle in Time for our discussion! I remember it and don't at the same time. If they do print a fancy set I'll have to get it and pass on my old ones to the kiddo. She can read them in about 5 or 6 years.
