A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

When I first heard the title A Discovery of Witches, by Deborah Harkness, I was instantly intrigued. I’ve read a lot of books, a few with witches, but not many and I’ve enjoyed most of them. I don’t want to be a witch, don’t get me wrong, it’s just a trope that fascinates me. Always has, so I knew I wanted to get my hands on this book. What to know what I thought about it? Please come read my review, published on BlogHer today to find out!

PS: As of 3:06 PM, the link is fixed. Thanks for letting me know Debi dear! 😀

  1. 🙁 The link isn't working for me. And I really want to read your review! (Despite the fact that I *still* haven't finished the book.)

  2. Yay! I'm glad you liked it. I'll admit when the word sparkles appeared at one point early in the book i almost quit right then and there, but I was so glad I kept reading. I'm looking forward to the next book.

  3. As I find it too much of a fuzz to register at the site, I wanted to comment here: This does sound like a book I would enjoy. "Twilight" without the many gender issues sounds like a perfect summer read. So there, it's added to my wishlist.
