We had, not one, but two wicked bad summer-like storms last night. It was like summer’s last hurrah, complete with two complete rainbows and hail! It was nice to curl up in the bed with the kiddo and an increasingly hard to put down Woman in White and listen to the rain pattering on the window panes. It made for very atmospheric reading.
The storm left autumn in it’s wake. This morning the air was crisp and the sky clear and there was a definitely bite in the air. Hurray! Fall is finally here!!!

That is a great picture! Yes, Woman in White is hard to put down, especially on a cool rainy evening. This book was made for evenings like that.
Beautiful picture. Several members of my extended family went for a drive & a picnic today. It was perfet – 70 diegrees, blue skies, green fields, orange and red and yellow leaves. Later I laid in the hammock and just looked and dozed. Such a pleasant time of year. I have Woman in White on my dresser calling to me, but I have a few others first. Have a nice weekend.
