And the resident mockingbird didn’t like me being outside at ALL.

  1. So sad about the roses. Aren't burning bushes beautiful in the fall? We have one planted in the front bed by the corner of the house. Like yours it only has a couple of turned leaves, but in time it will be a big ball of red. Everything else in my part of the country turns yellow or orange, so the red provides quite a highlight.

  2. I love my burning bush. I'm just letting it grow wild instead of shaping it. I think it's gorgeous, especially when it's in full "flame." We have mostly yellows and oranges too in the fall, which makes the flaming red so unique!

  3. Love the pics Heather! :)
I'd never heard of a burning bush. But I also never know plant or flower names so it's not surprising. Looking forward to another pic when it's all red!

  4. Love those pictures. I am pretty new to WordPress and have been trying my darndest to upload quality photos to my book club blog with zero success. How do you do it? Do you use an outside photo upload program? HELP please! :)

  5. I love burning bushes and we have so many in our neighborhood, but alas, I don't have one in my yard. So much of my yard is shady that I'm afraid it wouldn't turn red in the fall. I may just have to dig something out of the sunny patch and plant one for my enjoyment. I love autumn and am having fun shooting pictures in and around my neighborhood. Feel free to visit my garden blog at http://theinconstantgardener.blogspot.com

  6. Thanks Nat! I am terrible at flower names. All plant names really. I did pretty bad in Biology :)

Stephanie, I'll try to you tomorrow. It's pretty easy once you figure it out. Took me a couple weeks, but I've finally got it down!

Les, I think it would be worth it to find a place for a burning bush. I just love mine. I've visited your gardening blog a couple times, I need to add it to my blogroll so I'll remember it.
