First things first. Check out all the yummy goodness I got at the market today! It felt like a mad grab to get the last of all the summer goodies and boy did I!
I got green beans (white runners too, yummy!), yellow squash, cabbage, tomatoes (I am so sad to see these go!!!), white pumpkins for the kiddos, and, for the first time ever, brussel sprouts! I have never seen them at my market and we were beside ourselves excited. I can’t wait to roast them!
In other news, my spinach is growing!
And, strangely enough, so are these:
Asparagus! Color me surprised. So, how doth your garden grow?

Oh my gosh–that asparagus is so cute!!!
Oh, the asparagus looks so delicate!
It all looks wonderful! I need to get to a Farmer's Market again soon there aren't any close to our home, so I've been getting everything at the grocery store lately. Fortunately, our grocery has been doing a "local produce" thing all summer, with lables to let you know what's local…but it's still not as nice as a farmer's market.
Enjoy!

Oh you have an asparagus bed??? So cool!! I so want to plant some. I absolutely love asparagus and they're a permanent plant, aren't they? Don't they come up every year? The cool thing I've read about them is that you chop them every day don't you? And I've heard they grow back! So cool!! And I can't wait to see my little spinach start sprouting up like that
So cute!!
Asparagus now? Wow!
