It’s Monday! What Are You Reading This Week? is a weekly event to list the books finished last week, the books currently being read, and the books to be finish this week. It was created by J.Kaye’s Book Blog, but is now being hosted by Sheila from One Person’s Journey Through a World of Books.!
Books Completed Last Week
Medium Raw: A Bloody Valentine to the World of Food and the People Who Cook by Anthony Bourdain, which was bloody fantastic. Seriously. LOVED IT. Rather like a sequel to Kitchen Confidential and just as good. Maybe better. I think Bourdain’s reading, if not writing, has greatly improved since KC. But wait, I should just review it, right?
Q’s Legacy by Helene Hanff – loved it! I find it puzzling how I really wasn’t as taken with 84, Charing Cross Road as most people, but I have come to adore Helene just as much as I have continued on with her books. She was just adorable and just as easily makes me cry as she makes me laugh!
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, just as amazing as the first, second, and third times I read this book. A must read for everyone.
Books Reading This Week
Lit by Mary Karr for blog tour on Thursday
I started the audio version of Incarceron, but it’s not catching my attention very well yet. I tried the print version and it didn’t either, but I was hoping it was a timing thing/YA reading slump. I thought my slump might be over, since I just read The Hunger Games and Catching Fire this week, but now I’m thinking it’s not. Or else, it’s just this book. It may not be for me.
Books to be Completed This Week
Lit by Mary Karr, natch
Room by Emma Donoghue too. I am chomping at the bit to get it done, but have to set it aside for Lit for the moment. Something HUGE just happened in ROOM, so it is going to be really hard to concentrate on Lit. Poor Lit.

Can you do a review on Medium Raw, pleeeeeeeeeese
My post.

I have to get my hands on ROOM! I'm on a book buying hiatus right now, but I'm going to splurge for that one when I get a chance.
It sounds like you're in for some good reading this week!
