Pride and Prejudice
"It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife."
And so it begins my friends, my first reading of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I know, I know, how did I get to be 28 years old and never read ANY Austen? And I majored in English in college. I know! I'm trying to remedy that though. So far, 8 chapters in, so good!

OH, Heather! You’re gonna love it. It’s like an episode of House set way back when. And in England. LOL The tension between Darcy and Elizabeth is palpable and delicious! Enjoy!

Well, when you put it THAT way, there’s no way I won’t like it!!

You know I have never read any Austen…um should I be admitting that in public?

Amanda, you can personally thank yourself for my reading this. You inspired it.
Marg, I know, I was hesitant too. But hopefully by admitting it I will help others see the error of their ways and locate a Austen asap and give her a go
Fence, it is SO very English. So far I’m loving it, and I’m only 80 pages in!

I LOVE P & P! So many great lines! You know, I saw this post here yesterday and I couldn’t help myself, I started watching the BBC version all over again. I’m about halfway through the 6 hours! Yummm! Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy!! Course I liked the new version too. Will have to rewatch that one again too soon!
