"We have anal bleeding" – Cameron
"What? All of you?" – House
House last night was awesome. So much angst! I'm sorry, but I think Foreman was an ass. True, Cameron did not handle the alleged theft well, but what the fuck was that? We're not friends? He SO told House in Season 1 (before The Date) that he didn't want Cameron hurt because she's his friend. I hope Cameron listens to Cuddy – get revenge. I pity her. I'm not sure where her idealism comes from, but she's way too naive for the world she is working in. She acted like a spoiled child who didn't get her way. She needs to learn to stick up for herself or she will continue to be railroaded just like she was last night. I pity Foreman too though. It won't be so nice when he makes it to the top if he has no friends because he backstabbed all of them.
I can't wait until next week to see how it plays out. Especially with Foreman's life-threatening illness coming up in a couple of weeks!
More favorite quotes:
"I'm a night owl. Wilson’s an early bird. We’re different species." How long will this Odd Couple last?
"Gotta hand it to Foreman, though. He knew you were a suck up and I don’t give a crap. He successfully exploited us both."
"That happens when you have something 6 feet long shoved inside your colon"
And of course, the now immortal "Everybody Lies." Definitely saw that last night.

LOVE THIS SHOW!!! I downloaded like 200 livejournal icons to use on my blogger account last night. Obsessive much? lol Will be buying season 1 for myself tonight.
I'll take one vicodin sandwich on wheat — lite mayo and no pickles. Oh yeah and some extra vicodin, please!
Andi, I thought you'd already bought it!!! I'm rewatching it now. It's sooo good!
LOL Amanda!
I just bought it today, Heatheroo. I have it rented right now, and they want it back Friday, so I was running out of time!! lol
Yay!!! You bought it you bought it!!! I'm going to go watch some now!
I wonder if the tension set up between Foreman and Cameron in this episode speaks to the subtext of an romantic fling gone bad–or, some sort of intimacy that went sour, anyway–that we'll discover as time goes on? You're right: Foreman did call her a friend before, so this sounds like something has gone wrong (or, discontinuity in the script, which seems unlikely).
GG, I'm not sure what they are setting up with Foreman and Cameron. I was so shocked by the turn around because up until this episode he really seemed to like her.
It seems to be that with every episode Foreman acting more and more like House. Or trying to anyway. And he's getting really ambitious, which would make him stab a colleague in the back. We've seen House do that this season as well. (The guy with the drug thing, can't quite remember it all). And I agree, I don't think it's discontinuity. And with the rumors I've been reading…well…I can tell they are setting something up and I can't wait to see how it all plays out. Should be reaaaalllly good.
Saw a mention of my Booked by 3 meme so had to come over. Yes, House was awesome. And while Foreman was his usual arrogant self, he also represents a very common personality. He wants to get ahead. His colleagues are his colleagues. He enjoys working with them, but he knows he's not making friends there nor does he want to. I've worked in many places, formed what felt like friendships, and never saw those people again after I went on to another job. It's real life and Foreman understands that.
Cameron is the most obviously caring of the trio, but if she doesn't toughen up and learn to put personality and feelings aside, she won't make it. If she'd spilled the beans about the knowledge she had about the patient to the woman's lover, she would have forced an issue that was none of her business and might not have changed anything. People often do know what they don't admit to knowing. Life isn't black and white. It's lots of grays and a doctor has to stay impartial and to advocate for his/her patient.
I love the moral issues/dilemmas they bring up on the show, the kind of things that stimulate discussion. How many shows do that these days?
Nice blog, btw.
My father LOVES this show and is yelling at me for not watching it. I need to get with the program. Literally.
