Where is the time going?
How is already January 21st? Oh my gosh, I’ll be 32 in 2 days. How exciting and depressing! I know it’s not just me; time really does speed up the older you get. My grandma always warned me of that.
I have so many things I’ve been meaning to post! A glowing review of The Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova. A review of a lovely little Young Adult indie book I read called Mia the Magnificent. Posts about the love I’m feeling for East of Eden, Soulless by Gail Carriger, and Boneshaker by Cherie Priest. The disappointment I felt with the audio version of Never Let Me Go (and let me tell you, it was profound)! My joy in watching Julie and Julia! I’m so happy Meryl Strep is winning awards for her portrayal of Julia Child!!
I. Need. More. Time!
Or, conversely, to actually become disciplined enough to write all these posts either on the weekends or at night. I can’t remember the last time I posted every day of the week! Oh well, I’ll figure something out. How do you do it? How do you manage to post more than once a week? Any and all tips will be appreciated.

Well, happy early birthday! Good luck on getting those posts up. It’s easy for me – no one wants to hire me and I don’t have any kids! LOL.

I’m afraid my posting abilities come from the fact that I don’t work, so I’m not much help.
When you say you were disappointed in the audio of Never Let Me Go, was it the book itself, or just the audio version? If it was the book, I wonder what will happen to it in your mind over the next year. I really didn’t like it when I read it, but it ended up being one of my favorite books of the year because it just kept growing in my head. Iv’e heard others say the same thing.

I try to keep some posts in reserve. (I also don’t have young children.) Happy birthday early!

Kids go to bed and I hope online for a few minutes. lol That’s the way it generally works. I’m teaching M-Th at 7am this term, so I’ve been passing out sometime around 10pm lately. I generally take the hour leading up to bedtime to read or post. Yay for CRAZY days!
And happy birthday on the 23rd! Must get your goodies in the mail to you.

Well, I’m kind of lucky(sort of) that unfortunately my hubby is studying again for his Bar Exam in February. So, after we put the kids to bed I usually have at least an hour or two to read and post. I still have yet to post every single say, but I do get about 4 a week. Which to me is pretty good considering I take care of two very little ones all day.
Good luck! And Happy Birthday!

I’m right there with you. I think I’m still stuck in June of 2009. Sigh.

I don’t have little kids–that frees up a lot of time to post! Of course, I have to share my computer with a teenaged girl so that’s another problem.

I think I asked the same thing in one of my posts just a week or so ago. We need to form a support group and get reviews done in a block on the weekend.

Yep, me too – no kids. Plus I get to work from home a lot of the week which is great blogging time (LOL). Shhhhhh! Don’t tell my boss.

I write most of my posts on the weekend. There’s just not enough time during the work week.
And happy early birthday!

I’m laughing over your last lines. I can post more than once a week but usually not reviews. I’m still in a bit of a reading rut, having only finished one adult book so far this month. I know that people (other people) usually write their posts on the weekends. Happy B-day!
