Follow Me by Joanna Scott

Follow Me
by: Joanna Scott
Hardcover: 432 pages
Publisher: Little, Brown and Company; April 22, 2009<

I was supposed to review Follow Me for the blog tour today.  Unfortunately, the timing was not right for me and this book with the gorgeous cover.  I mean really, LOOK AT THAT COVER WILL YOU???  I’m in the midst of a very, very, very bad reading slump, drought, starvation and that, coupled with life experience (if you know me, you know a book about a mother who abandons a child has every change of not being a good fit) meant that I could just not get into the book.  I can say that what I did read was lovely.  Ms. Scott definitely has a way with words and I will be looking for other work by her.

Sorry you are in a reading slump. I always re-read some Jane Austen to help get me out of my slumps. And trashy romances help too.

  4. Melanie has a great plan. Pride & Prejudice makes me laugh more and more every time I read it!

Sorry to hear about your reading slump. Have you tried picture books? They help me when I have reader’s block. Take care.

  7. Sorry about the reading slump. I hate those!!! You chose a great way to post, even if you couldn’t get into the book. I’ve never seen such a huge tour list. No wonder the book is getting so much exposure!
