So far I have managed to avoid the impending doom of a reading slump by picking up something totally different from the books I’ve been reading. Earlier this year I managed to snag a heavily discounted copy of The Year of Living Biblically by AJ Jacobs. I very much enjoyed his memoir The Know-It-All, so I knew when I felt a slump coming on, that his new book may just be the ticket. And boy, was I right! TYoLB is just as entertaining as TKIA! I’m not reading *quite* as ferociously as I was the last two weeks, but I’ve already read over 100 pages in the last two days; which is saying something.
Plans this weekend include reading more of TYoLB, going to a wedding (my *little brother*1 is finally getting married, and taking pictures at the reception. And hopefully NOT catching the cold Wesley seems to have come down with. Drat that boy.
1. He’s not really my brother. We grew up together and he’s the closest thing I have to a brother. Besides his brother, of course. 😉
