Saturday Farmer’s Market

Saturday Farmer’s Market is a new feature I’m starting to showcase, well, gardens!  This summer especially, I have really come to enjoy everyone’s garden posts and I selfishly want to see them all, every week!  And as you all know, I’m all about the sustainable living!  So give me your garden photos, your gardening books you’re reading, even give me pictures of your Farmer’s Market loot!  I want it ALL.

My garden has become a jungle!  Seriously, I am even having a hard time finding all my tomatoes.  They are little bright red jewels, hiding in the vast foliage of my garden.  It’s no problem, I kinda like the hunt!  And I’m seeing all kinds of interesting bugs as I look!  Just this week I got my first BIG tomato, several small grape tomatoes, and one okra!  I’m excited!  I also got up all my oregano as it was getting ready to go to seed and have already filled one spice jar with dried leaves for the year.  I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to fill up two more.  I’m also planning on making some rosemary and tarragon vinegar and some pesto too!  I have a TON of basil just begging to be pureed!

Tomorrow, for Weekend Cooking: Homemade dulce de leche and Dulce de Leche Apple Pie! Yummmmmmy!
